Clarté Lunaire, 2024. Oil on canvas. 48 x 36 inches.
Serie Éclats morcelés, 2024
This series explores a dreamlike vision of nature, where trees become vibrant, poetic geometric structures. Each painting is distinguished by a composition rich in polygonal shapes that break down natural elements into colorful fragments, fragments that merge and overlap.
Shades of green, violet, yellow, and blue mingle to evoke the forest’s shifting light. These colors are enhanced by textured backgrounds and circular elements reminiscent of celestial bodies, such as the sun or moon, reinforcing a sense of natural cycles and temporality.
Elongated shadows and strong contrasts add a dramatic dimension, while the trees -though stylized- retain a recognizable essence that invites viewers to reflect on their own relationship with nature.
“I fragment nature to reveal its hidden poetry. Between light and geometry, my trees become bridges between the real and the imaginary.” Guimond
